octave-vlfeat software package provides Computer vision library focussing on visual features and clustering, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-vlfeat
octave-vlfeat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-vlfeat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-vlfeat *
You will get with octave-vlfeat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
